After a Q6600 that will do 4ghz

Very very hard unless you have the best cooling and motherboard.

It's pot luck but G0 overclock better than B3 cpus and the lower the VID in general means the higher the overclock (although not always the case it just means you are more likely- eg say 5% of 1.3 VID chips are capable of 4Gz, it might be that 20% of 1.2VID chips are capable but still low odds)

Look at the quad core overclocking thread and see the people who have them over 4Ghz. Not many and all generally low VID's

Lap your chip and your cooler block to get the best temperatures.

Pick a motherboard with the least Vdroop or one with an easy mod to fix it as that will help with acheiving high overclocks.
