After applying compound, how long before card can be used?

Hi

I have removed the stock cooler from my GTS 8800 and cleaned off all the old compound and thermal tape.

Next step is to apply some new compound and reattach the cooler.

My question.... How long after reattaching the compound and cooler can I use the card again? Should I leave it to rest for a bit or is it best to stick it in and get it heating up?

What thermal compound are you using?

You can start using it straight away and generally after prolong use the compound will become ore effective, reducing temps further.

How ever long it takes to get the cooler bolted back on!
