Ok,

Auto updates installed IE7, after several hours of me putting off the restart that it wanted, windows decided it wanted to do it itself and restart automatically.

Upon entering windows after the restart I get this:

SmartBridge Alerts: MotiveSB.exe - Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point GetProcessImageFileNameW could not be located in the dynamic link library PSAPI.DLL.

Any ideas as to what the hell this is all on about?

Thanks for any help.

Are you on blueyonder?
Do you have the Instant support tool installed.

If yes then uninstall the IST, the software isn't compatable with IE7 and we havn't got round to fixing it yet.

I'm with NTL, how would I disable whatever it is though?!

Not sure if ntl have a similar thing, motive make software for a few different isps. Have a look in add/remove apps for anything to do with motive or ntl.
