most stock backplates are not stuck on with sticky tape or anything like after market ones so they are usually easy to remove once you have unscrewed them.

just installed one of these myself, it's fairly self explanatory, and there's an illustrated guide in the packaging to help too, it does require the back plate as that's what the screws tighten to... depending on your mb you might want to fit the ram in before attaching the fan

nope, but there's a wee sachet of paste with it, can't comment on the quality of it tho as i used my own
