I'm curious how effective this option is for entry boards like the b450m pro m2 max without heatsinks.

I'm thinking down the road when I decide the stock cooler needs replacing and begin wishing I shelled out for a better board.

The tall, thin finned, copper, alphacool ones look like they might work well. If I get extra I can put them on mosfets everywhere.

Cheers

It can't hurt can it, I would start by look at what sort of temperatures you're getting and go from there. If you do install some then make sure the height does not interfere with any surrounding components such as the CPU cooler.

Thanks for the reassurance.

I'm suspect I'll be ok.

Cheers
