After overclocking minor bios issue

Just wondering if this happens to other people.

Every time I start my pc, it starts up, pauses and then restarts, basically reseting my bios removing the overclock, it tells me that my bios is misconfigued asks me to go in to the bios and reconfigure.

I go in, apply my overclock, boot in to windows, find the time on the pc is screwed synch it with windows time, reboot and all is fine, correct time and overclock applied.

Its a strange one.

Could it be the bios battery thats dieing?

Yeah I think you have it.

Clear your CMOS update your bios to the latest and change your battery. Should sort it.

Sounds like the battery is already dead.

I'v only had the mobo for 3 years.

Where as the P4 pc im using now is 6 years old and never had a battery replacement...
