After reinstalling windows two new drives appear in my computer -systems reserved(G) and Floppy (A)

I didnt have either of these beforehand. I dont actually have a floppy drive!

How do i get rid of them?

The G:\ drive is a boot thingy. Open the disk management from My Computer and hide it by removing it's drive letter

The A:\ drive is because you've enabled the floppy drive in the BIOS. Disable it and this'll go away.

Thanks, I will follow your instructions.
I haven't been into my bios recently though, why has the floppy drive appeared after a fresh windows reinstall?

Maybe your previous install had it enabled in BIOS, but disabled in Windows. Either disable the driver in device manager or check BIOS and disable.
