you may want to consider the seagate 7200.10 250 GB HDD, they are single platter, so are faster then the WD 250GB

If your planning on oc-ing the cpu you may want to get a decent cooler, the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme is the best and a decent fan like Yate Loon.

Also get some good thermal compound like AS5 or MX-2.

Dont forget to get some sata cables too :)

as long as its a retail boxed MB, he shouldnt to buy more need SATA cables, but check manufacturers website/reviews to be sure

What are you planning on using the machine for, if gaming i would recommend going for the wolfdale instead of the Q6600... just a thought.

Price is a little higher when i got that cpu and mobo xmas week. I got the retail quad for £152 and mobo for £117 now they are £170 and £140 just put a Freezer 7 pro on it and you can get 3.6ghz easy.

Yate loons don't fit onto the Ultra (I have both) unless I'm doing something wrong.
