hey all.
Crasy problem i have never had before has landed on me...
I replaced my 5850 with a 5870 as i wanted all 3 GPU's to be 5870 chips.
BUT, My 5970 can do 1050/1315 before it craps out in afterburner ... the 5850 could do 1175/1380..
but the max the 5870 will go to is 900 /1300...
I tryed unlocking the overclocking thing in afterburner config, this allowed me to raise the clock bar but as soon as i press apply on anything over 900 mhz on the 5870 core the PC locks up and i get a 9c or 101 BSOD....
My rig is 100% stable, i have done a 24hour prime test and 20 memtest runs all perfect so the BSOD is caused by the 5870.
is there any way to change this? i would very much like to get the 5870 to 1050mhz on the core.
Its the XFX XXX edition stock is 875/1300 acording to CCC.
Do i need to flash the BIOS on the Card or something?
please help guys.
