Hey all, as the title states is there an aftermarket cooler (not an AIO just an air cooler) that would work on the EVGA GTX1060 SC?

The noise of the stock cooler has put me off gaming it's ridiculously bad. I'd consider an AIO as a last resort but I'd prefer an air cooler if there's one out there.

Also, wrong section I know, but can you still buy the windowed side panels for the Antec P280? They were available a while ago and I never got one and now I cannot find one anywhere.

Cheers!

I would go with a GPU PWM adapter and a normal 90mm fan (it's the single fan model right?). Take the card's shroud/fan off (being EVGA you'll probably need a tiny hex bit or sometimes pliers and patience will turn the hex screws) and ziptie the fan to the heatsink. Spending more than that on a 1060... might as well put that money aside for an upgrade.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £19.42 (includes shipping: £3.48)

I've done it with an EVGA GTX 1070 (and two fans). Brought temps and noise down.

Yeah it's the single fan model and that's a brill idea.

I'd like to upgrade but the GPU situation being the way it is I decided to hold off, probably until next year now.

This should tide me over till then.

Have you thought about undervolting? I.e. for a given clock speed, running the GPU at a lower voltage, so less power and hence heat output :)

No I hadn't thought about overvolting so I'll start there.

Now I just need to find a windowed side panel and I'll be set, but I should probably post it in the case section.

Thanks guys!
