Aftermarket cooler?

One of my main gripes with the 470 has been heat and noise. I'm aware that I can reduce these (or so I believe) by getting an aftermarket cooler BUT...
Does the fact that I have an EVGA Superclocked 470 mean I can't? Will this void warranty, or will the brand mean the fan might not fit?

I don't know much about this stuff
