Aftermarket cooler?

Firstly didnt know if this should have gone in the cooling section or here because its kind of related to both.

Now....the issue.
My 6950 has a ref cooler...and it gets loud, Im scared to game on it incase it wakes my family in Austrailia up.

Had a look for a new cooler and all I could find that would suit the 6950 is the Arctic Accelero xtreme II OR the Twin turbo.

Anyone have any experience with these coolers? Or any others that arent water based?

I use the Thermalright Shaman on my 6950 and it's really very quiet. So quiet that you can tell the difference between unloaded and loaded states. The 140mm fan only goes up to about 900rpm.

I was looking at that, but its £20 more expensive than the xtreme plus II.

Im going to play some games and see how it acts...if it gets too noisy, Ill buy the sharman.

When I bought the Shaman it was around the same price as the arctic extreme plus, given that you had to buy a heatshrink pack from Arctic separately and pay postage for it.

Yes we are close to each other, ish. Or at least we would be if I wasn't in Paris right now .

Have just put both of mine into my shiny new P280 that I fitted out last night along with my 2 month old new system and they both sit straight without any ninja wire!

Excuse the crap pic, but my son had been playing about with the camera and all my P-280 build pics are rubbish.
