Aftermarket cooling question.

Im getting an E2160 with an Arctic Freezer 7 and some MX1 paste. I was just wondering if the 2160 will come with any thermal pad already attached to it that I will have to clean off?

Also, would you recommend fitting the HSF before or after putting the chip in the mobo, and before or after putting the mobo in the case?

The CPU won't have any pre-applied thermal paste.

It'll be easiest if you insert the CPU and then the heatsink while it's out of the case.

iirc the Freezer 7 has MX1 either supplied with or pre-applied to it.

id fit the hsf before you put the chip in or you will have to take it off to put the chip in anyway
