Age of Conan - all inactive accounts reactivated

Got mine too. I didn't mind Conan, but I felt disappointed that Funcom reneged on most of the adult content.

quite a lot at my old clan who have the bfbc2 server everyone on here plays play this daily . not that inot it myself but im sure anyone wanting a game of it could have a go with them

Mine still says

Account status Frozen (Cancelled) Reactivate account
Playable Not playable
Freeze date 2009-03-24 14:30:26

If I click on Reactivate account it wants to charge me.

I often thought about going back for a while but then something else dragged me away. Then they sent me an email that said unless I lreactivated soon or used a free reactivatiion they'd delete my character. No chance they'll get me playing again EVER.

You SURE that happened, that is the absolute first I have heard of it, I have heard no similar info from anywhere and if it had I can imagine there would have been uproar from a lot of people.

Supposedly it'll still let you log in. I'll let you know as soon as it's downloaded.

Cant be bothered to reinstall tbh.

Make it FTP and I start playing again, but by then GW2 will probably be out.

A dead MMORPG is, well, rather dead.

I quite enjoyed this, although was mainly soloing. Had a couple of characters in their 50s, but the main reason I liked it was being able to explore the Conan lore and landscape which was done well. Would love to have another look if its working again.

So you can log in even if your account says frozen? Think I'll dig out the disks.

I liked it. Graphically it was gorgeous, the classes were interesting, the combat was excellent. I just wish they hadn't been such complete arses about releasing an unfinished game and then lying through their teeth about it.

Still, three years on with an expansion under its belt and a new head dude for most of that time, has to be worth a look.

I really liked Conan. The graphics were great and some of the scenery was fantastic. I loved the zone set in the valley after Tortage in particular. The music was awesome as well. That said, the game was so buggy at release :( If they delayed it a few months and sorted out the main issues (there was a massive memory leak iirc, i kept crashing on loading screens etc.) it would have been far more succesful.

Most of that is all sorted now. I was there for the launch and it was indeed a mess so I didn't play after the first month. A year later and I subbed up to check it out and they had sorted all the problems since launch and tweaked a few bit's too. I believe since then they have added more content to the game for levels 70-80 and the mid levels and of course they have the expansion pack too. I got my email yesterday but I just have to much college work to even think about spending time with a mmo.

I like AoC as well, but last time i logged on i paid over £10 for a month - which is too pricey - is that still the same?
Also it felt pretty empty, is that still the same?
