Ok, so my friend and I both made a character on the Crom PVE server, and now trying to meet up but I can't actually SEE him! We are standing in the exact same place, and I can add him to my friends list, (and message him) but I don't actually see him!

We are both during the day time as well :confused:

you need to be in the same 'instance' , if you click the small 'arrow' top left of the radar you can select different ones ... alternatively whoever is the group leader can 'summon' others to his instance .. if that makes any sense

Urgh, does AoC have different instances of every zone like Guild Wars did?

I think the starting area Tortage is an instance but the rest of the world minus dungeons is just the one main area?

Yes it is like EQ2/guild wars all "open world" zones open new instances when the current one gets too full
