In all serious tho i would love to go back to AoC, the deep story line of single player is really fun, the gfx's were amazing, the sound tracks were amazing, the combat system was un-matched... i play wow now and AoC will never come within an inch of being as good as it but tbh i miss the combat system and the realistic fights you had!

I got a toon to level 80 and had quite a few raid items so cant say i didn't give the game a good try

Damn straight they lied! I remember the press guy at Funcom being likened to "Comical" Ali (from the Saddam Hussein regime) it was so bad. Constant denial that things were broken, constant promises that things would get better and so on.

All i remember from the launch is a goood experience for the first 20 levels, then a dire, epic grind the likes of which I have never experienced before or since in an MMO to get some levels. And the instancing! Oh lord - actually finding your friends and playing together should have awarded some sort of achievement it was so difficult.

its really sad to see the game hasnt improved as it did have promise. Like others, I say roll on Cataclysm and Star Wars - theyre almost dead cert wins.

i find it quite funny tbh im playing conan atm and crom server is loaded always full and lots of new players coming from wow and lotr and a lot of players saying they would never go back to wow cause its full of 12 yr olds

conan has had many problems theirs no denying that dx10 is still very buggy but the game still looks very good in dx9 and theirs loads of new content and raid content 6 man dungeons its not hard to find a grp so the game cant be that bad lets face it you will get people saying wow is the best or lotr is in my eyes they are all good but not everyones cuppa tea its nice to have many mmos conan has survived bad times but it seems to be getting a lot of new players now and funcom are improving many things and most important they are listening to their players !

I'l take your word for that, i tried conan when the rise of the godslayer came out, it did look slightly busier, i'l just wait and see what happends when the Cata expansion for wow comes out.

Thats my opinion dont really care that other people are still slating the game half those people haven't even bothered to check out the game recently.

Why in the world would you want to check the forums if you havent got a active account in the first place,so you want to read the forums but you havent got a active account to play the game,that makes perfect sense?

If i enjoy it thats all that matters tbh.

I still play AOC a great deal, aside from a rocky launch (much like anarchy online) it runs fine in DX9 and DX10 the expansion brought some great new dungeon runs if a little to grind like, but that is being addressed, PVP balance is out of the window though but then if you want PVP play COD

people suffer from if its not like WOW syndrome then the game is crap get over it. There is more to mmporgs than bloody WOW.

p.s

To run it in Dx10 you need a decent well setup PC.

Thats the point, its not just a PVP game and as for balance its the same as any mmporg and PVP, whatever class is flavour of the month wins.
