I've run AOE2 and the Conquerors expansion before in multi-player but currently they only work after I disable *both* my internet connection *and* my network connection (to another PC) which means single player only for obvious reasons. If I don't disable them I get a black screen with a mouse pointer and I end up having to reboot (unable to end the task).
Obviously I can play single player no problem, but I want multi-player too (the girlfriend wants a game!).
I have tried the -mfill, -nostartup switches etc...
I have disabled firewall, antivirus etc..
I have even re-installed video drivers.
The only thing that effects it is a connection (to a PC or the internet).
Anyone able to shed any light on it?
