Hi there,

I am not trying to sell this but wondering if this type of kit is still useful to give to charities:

- old Dell (non-mobile) P4 XP laptop - probably at least 6 years old.
- Netgear "g" wifi router about 5 years old.
- Sitecom Mimo "g" wifi 4-port router about 4 years old.

Otherwise its the Council recycling skip!

You never know.

The worst they can do is reject it, then you take it to the skip.. You won't get any money for them, there a little too old.
 
With a fresh format of windows XP (with all the service packs and updates) an old P4 laptop would make for a decent desk-based PC for someone who just needs basic computer access - particularly if it has a wi-fi card installed.

The routers may be less easy to offload as it seems like everyone gets a free wireless N router with their home internet these days. Though its worth asking, since they would make a decent switch.
