Are Ageia PhysX cards still compatable with ATI cards, now that all nvidia cards has these features built in?

I m not too sure tbh, I know you could, I persome it will use the normal Nviida drivers, if so it will actively seek out the ATI card and most likely disable the it :( still could try it through

No thats with a nVidia GPU for PhysyX, the original Ageia PhysX PPU works just fine with an ATI card. BUt as stated you will have to use the 8 series driver as the new 9 series nVidia **** up the drivers

Some of the newer games dont work with the PhysX card although it is faster then useing a GPU. You can install the PhysX drivers without the full Nvidia gfx drivers but I had problems with some of the newer sets of PhysX drivers working with the old card.

I have an ageia card with a 4890 working perfect in win7 - only game i play that uses it at mo is mirrors edge though, you need to install an older version of the Physx drivers I think im using 8.0.9.0.4, but will confirm that, its basically the version that did not have the option to select an Nvidia card but had the Nvidia branding as it was the initial NV release, word of warning though some games like Bionic commando have a nack for installing the latest version over the top without prompting but its just a simple process of uninstalling and putting the older version back on.

I will try to remember and post up what version i definately use later when im home from work

Have you tried the Batman demo? Be interested if it works with that.

yeah like I said I m not sure considering it uses the same drivers as the GPUs for physics

well its okay if it was *given* a lot less than what some people pay just to have physics X in their PCs, which is now useless
