agp card dead

hi all..

my 6800gt agp card has had it!!..i'm goin down the route of warranty as it is only 22 months old and xfx offer 24 month warranty..how i go on is anyones guess!!..i need a replacement and want to stay with agp as my son has my "hand mi downs"..my specs are:

asus a8v deluxe/939 64-3500/1g corsair value select/hiper 425/agp

my son is on a skt a xp2800/6600gt/1g ram/agp

i'm gonna fully upgrade my pc next year when vista/dx10/conroe are all out/reasonably priced..

was thinkin of a x850pro for £116..but could spend more if required although don't really want too has i'd like a all singing,dancing too cope with dx10/vista etc..

haven't got a clue what too do..please help!!

7800GS is prolly the best you may ever see on AGP.

The X850 pro offers about the same performance as a 6800GT (if upgrading your PC in 6 months or so, i dont think you should spend too much more than for that).

Why not just wait to see what happens with the RMA.
If they have any 6800GS cards, you may get one; they offer similar performance to a GT. Or you may even get one of the newer 7600GT cards that are supposed to be coming to AGP & this will be a bit of an upgrade.
