Which AGP card is sufficient to power a 20/22" monitor (1600 x 1200 or 1680 x 1050) for general desktop usage. Most have a DVI connection.

Just want to know if a 7600GS/GT or X1650Pro is the minimum, or if I can go cheaper still, e.g. Nvidia 6200

At the moment it has onboard Geforce 4 MX with no dedicated memory (nForce 2 motherboard), but this used to look rubbish on a 17" due to clarity of text. Also want DVI connector, that the onboard doesn't have.

Edit: Just tried the computer and it allowed for native resolution to be set. Surprised it supported it.

My vista nexperience with 2400 PRO was kind of laggy, thats why i suggested the 7600GT. I did forget that its AGP and he might have trouble finding one cheaply.
