Hi,

Due to WW2 online becoming more visually appealing (about time)

I need to upgrade my AGP card and I only want to spend about £100.

I plant to upgrade the whole system at some point so I need a stop-gap.

Any advice on which card, for my limited budget?

Cheers

P4 2.8 (oc to 3.5)
1 gig 3200 RAM
radeon 9800pro
enermax noisetaker psu

If hes upgrading the system and needs a stop gap, that budget is fine.

Best geforce7 you can get for that price should tie you over, choose higher model over more memory... ;)

Does it have to be new? If not you should be able to get a 6800gt or X800XT for less than £100 and either should provide enough of a jump in performance to play most games decently enough.

Another gig of ram and a 7600 GT AGP and TBH that system would keep you going for quite a while I think with the P4 overclocked like that.

 Hi @ll,

Sry 2 high-jack the post :D but I just wanted 2 know what you all think on this?

I have a xfx 7800gs agp see sig, but I must have the most unclockable card going :( as I can not get any improvement on it  , apart from the number of pipelines would it be worth getting a 7600GT for the better core speeds etc?

The reason I say the 7600GT is that I am on a very tight budget ;)

It's open to all in the Members Market - which incidentally, I've just realised I've broken the rules of by advertising it elsewhere on the forum. Sorry Dons... It won't happen again. :(

I dont think it would be worth it. They would have very similar performance.

Members Market ...where is it?

ww2ol is a horrible mess at the mo due to the silly patch, hopefully they'll sort it soon - I currently have an x850xt which is my stop gap until i get a pcie card and im still getting stutters.

It may be time to think about upgrading your sys, i know im giving it half a thought. I cant believe we go through all this when the systems we have run most other games just fine, sigh. CRS are lucky its mroe addictive than crack.
