Hi,

I am building a HTPC around a P4 3.2ghz with 2gb ddr.

I presume the processor will not be fast enough to run 1080p. I have heard that a some GPUs take the stress from CPUs and do the decoding and was wondering what would be the cheapest AGP card I could put in to achieve this?

Is the OCUK 1950 pro capable of this?

is the delimiter of HD decoding the "HD" bit in its name?

If so, would the 1950 OCUK one work too or is it only 3xxx

Also, what nvidia cards are equivalent?

nvidia dont have much new/cheap on agp anymore, they stopped at 7950gt i think. Which im pretty sure that card does it, but the newer Ati will do it better. I'd get a low end 3 series as long as the low end still do the HD decoding :D
