Is it possible to get an AGP card for my old SN45G Shuttle system that can handle a DVI connection to 2560x1440 monitor?

Ideally fanless! But definately has to be a small single slot solution!

^^ That 4670 is tooo big :)

That 4350 looks promising, but it does state 300W power suppy needed. The Shuttle comes with a 200W one :(

Don't need all the 3D goodness, just the high res :)

What will be the rest of the spec? What will the machine be doing?

I cant see that card drawing much power. I'm not sure how much power an AGP slot provides but the card doesn't need an additional power connector.

A hard drive and a DVD drive.... Not a lot of space for anything else :)

Really want the simplest card with DVI which can cope with that res.

you can get a 5450 pci (thats PCI not PCI-e) card, these should allow you to play full hd stuff on an old pc too.

Wow! That states as a requirement a 350w supply!?

Did they not do it as AGP?

They are either passive or have a tiny fan, they also don't use any external power connectors, they probably don't use more than ~20W, the 350W will be a copy+paste from something else.

If they did it as AGP, it would only work in ancient AGP computers, as PCI it can work in old and new as long as the motherboards still come with normal PCI slots.

The only downside is they are twice the price of the PCI-e version and they really are terrible for gaming.

Yeh! That's silly money isn't it.

Not the slightest bit interested in performance so don't need DirectX 11 etc. Just need a simple solid card with 2560x1440 DVI support. Happy to go second hand etc...
