hi, to use an agp graphics card is there a jumper you have to move ? as when I try and run with a ti4200 it wont POST but it works fine with PCI Gfx. Ive tried two seperate agp cards that I know work and neither let the system POST.

thanks.

it will post with a PCI graphics card, I will check the BIOS out and see if I can find the option to use an AGP card,

thanks.

jesus, im suprised this thing still works, I was plugging the ti4200 into the yellow slot, when the AGP slot is the black one, no wonder it didnt work. Now its working in the black slot. Why does an agp card even fit in the yellow one beats me.

what a noob. :o

i wondered why it smelt of burning yesterday when I tried the ti4200, now I know. I thought at the time that I had fried the graphics card as that's where the smell was coming from but it all still seems to function.

LMAO!! :p
The yellow slot is the AM2 upgrade slot. Usually covered by a sticker which tells you that.
Oh well, glad you sorted it. :)

thanks, I just didn't look closely at the board as its just for a folding@home pc. Next PC I make I will check more closely on these things :p

My dual-sata board had a sticker over the AM2 upgrade slot so I didn't make the same mistake ... however, its perhaps an understandable mistake since as the board has PCI ports + AGP then the AGP slot is not the top slot where it normally is!
