some nice clocks on your x1950pro there. :cool: what brand and what cooling?

mine doesn't overclock at all. even using ati overdrive results in screen corruption. still it's fine at stock so can't complain. :)

and nope, my cpu doesn't have sse3. it's just clock for clock faster than your a64 (for gaming/benchmarks at least). :)
 
It's one of the Gecubes that OCuk sold originally, it's watercooled, never tried clocking before fitting so I don't know what it would have done. If I try nudging the core any higher it'll crash the whole system though, very odd!

I was wondering about the SSE3 thing cos mines quicker in 05 but slower in 06, I'd have thought the same cpu would be fastest in both!

I'll have a fiddle and see if I can crack 10k in 05 too! lol :p
 
just had a proper look at the compare between and your cpu does better. seems odd how i got more overall just because of 1 game test but you outscore me in everything else.... :p

i didn't think you were on air. some very nice clocks. :)
 
Hoping this will run on a 9600XT....

Plan being I'm hoping my dual xeons can get a cpu score in 3d06 to make up for the card! :D
 
Well my dual Xeons were slightly disappointing. The 9600xt just doesn't cut the mustard!

An embarassing 327 points!!!!
CPU score was 1174 though :p
 
My old AGP X800XT-PE uber clocked :p

I don't have an ORB link for this score, was running custom drivers so i didn't see the point

My bro has same set up as me with the x1950pro like you and scores 4700'ish, which i think answers the whole 'AGP Gainward 7800GS+ vs x1950pro' debate on which ones value for money. (by that i dont mean my card) ;)

05 is all graphics card (or almost all). 06 has a large CPU component, and is liked and disliked equally depending on who you talk to :) Also 06 gets a boost from dual core too, despite very few games getting a boost from it.
