Morning folks!

My mates recently gone and bought an AGP gfx card for god knows what reason. Now he's looking to buy a new mobo in order to use this card, but the only one he's been able to find where he lives (Norway atm) is some crappy Asrock mobo.

Any ideas what he'd be best to get?

What CPU does he have first off?

The Asrock combo boards aren't crappy at all, cheap and generally dodgy at overclocking sure but bad they are not. It is quite likely that whether he has AM2/939 or LGA775 an Asrock AGP/PCI-E combo is the only board he'll find still for sale.

Absolutely spot on, they may not be enthusiasts oveclocking boards, but I've found them to be very stable and easy to set up. Perfect for the mainstream user.

Well that goes against everything I've experienced where I work but I guess you might be right about Asrock being the only ones available with AGP support these days.

I'll let him know the score, thanks for the info :)
