Hi there, to get windows to install (as it wouldnt with IDE mode) I selected AHCI in bios.. It now works fine, I have a 150gb raptor and a 500gb spinpoint. Now I read that intel recommends raid mode, does this have any benefits over AHCI other than adding the ability to raid? I prefer the drives stay standalone, I have no intention of raiding, but if its better than AHCI I'll reinstall windows to make the switch.
