I desperately need some advice, I have had an absolute nightmare tonight.

I have just ordered a new power supply as I wanted a slightly shorter one to allow me to move my water pump to a more aesthetically pleasing location, pure vanity I know. It arrived today even though I wasn't expecting it until tomorrow, Bonus. After an hour of removing wires and replacing them I powered on the PSU and hit the power button on my case to a hear pop a crackle and smell electrical smoke. Powered down immediately via the switch on the power supply and removed the cable as there was still some crackling noises coming from it. Panic strikes so I go outside to calm down, remove the cables again and reconnect my old power supply. No display output, power down check connections and still nothing, drain loop remove card plug cable into IGPU socket, refill loop and power on success, tested everything else, HDD, SSDs all working. OK pull out card from another machine and it works. Put 1080Ti back in and still no display output. Card is dead, very dead.

What do I do? Any thoughts People?

Been through the panic stage, almost cried now just sitting very calmly praying to the hardware gods.

The PSU is one thing the card is another. They are £300 more than i paid now.

In this instance the power supply manufacturer is responsible for the damage to the graphic card
But first what power supply is it?
And the GPU might have lost its worrenty if you replaced the cooler
Depends on company
So GPU manufacturer ?

It's a Silverstone power supply and the GPU was purchased through overclockers with the waterblock applied by them. I'll call them in the morning and see what the deal is. Hopefully it can be resolved quickly and painlessly.
