.ai and .indd files

Hi,

Does anyone know of any free software to view the above file extensions?

.ai is an Adobe Illustrator format so I would presume that would be the progra you're looking for.

.indd is an Adobe inDesign format.

Remember Google knows all the answers, including the wrong ones.

Yep, as above. I believe InkScape can open .ai files and Scribus might be able to handle .indds.

I have an inkling that Acrobat Reader can view the files. After all they are all Adobe products. But don't quote me on that. Or maybe I'm thinking the other way round - that the native programs can export to PDF.

^^Ah yes, if the .ai was saved with the 'Create .PDF compatible file' box ticked, it will open in Adobe Reader.
