Ai Booster Overclocking ?

Hi ,
I used Ai Booster to overclock my X2 3800+ to 2.2Ghz but when i try to increase it any more it freezes !
As soon as i press apply the whole computer freezes, does anybody know a way around this ?

Is it okay to use SysTool for overclocking ?
Will i need to increase voltage as well as speed ? How do i increase voltage using SysTool ?

I'm not actually sure how to overclock in the BIOS, I don't see any options for it, i have the Asus A8N5X MOBO.
It would be much better though, my comp keeps freezing when i try to overclock it much above 2.2ghz :S

I think i understand how to do it via BIOS now and it was soooo much easier !

I have PC3200 400mhz ram, What safe speed can i overclock this to ? (425mhz?)

Okay i got to 2.3ghz/1.375V STABLE, then i tried 2.4ghz/1.4V and it failed to BOOT.
Any ideas ? thanks

I have the CPU mutiplier on 10x, when i tried 4x and 230mhz , the CPU ran at about 950mhz so i put it back to 10x.
My memory, hypertransport etc are on auto, what should they be on for it to be stable ?

What are your exact BIOS settings that have allowed you to run the x2 3800+ at 2500mhz stable ?

Also, why has my memory clock gone down to 220mhz ? it's pc3200 so shouldn't it be running at 400mhz ? i have selected 400mhz in the BIOS for the ram but it still seems to be running at 220mhz, any ideas ?

Ok , 1T seems to work fine for the RAM.
I tried overclocking with the same specs as you, 250Mhz x 10 , 4x HT, 1.475v v core, 2.75v ddr ram but it wouldn't boot at all and then i tried 1.425v/230x10/4xHT/2.7vddr and it booted but crashed soon after with one of those blue error screens.
Is there a reason why my cpu doesn't seem stable at all over 2.2ghz ?

Asus BIOS doesn't offer much lol , its 333,400, etc lols

At the moment mine is CPU/10, To adjust this ratio do i decrease the RAM memclock ? (highest i can adjust to is 333mhz)

OMG thank you sooo much !

This is the first time it has ever even booted using 2.4ghz

I think 333mhz is perfect for the RAM, in CPU-Z the RAM speed is 200mhz (400mhz) so hopefully won't have any troubles !

I have PCI-33.3mhz PCI-E-100mhz DDR V-2.75v Vcore-1.475v HT-4X RAM MEM-333mhz
Should i try for 250FSB and not touch anything else ?

I think i'll try out 2.5ghz

Don't think Corsair 'value' ram was meant for overclocking ! lols !
