Maybe this should have been in the "motherboards section", I am not sure, if so please just move it there, will you please ? thanks.

I am reading on a few places that there is a new version of AI SUITE II and also even a version of AI SUITE 3, but I read there seems to be a lot of issues with version 3, don't know how true this is as it was just random websites etc.

Anyways, that's what I am trying to find out, what really is the very latest version of the ASUS AI SUITE that is from genuine source and 100% working etc ?

Also, might as well ask this too, I am being told by a certain program I have installed that because my system bios is out of date (8 versions out of date to be exact , lol) the program is saying basically that its up to me if I want to change or not, errrrm, I already know that, lol, question is, is it worth it though really if everything appears to be working ok (I think, lol) ? suppose 8 versions old is quite a lot though.?

Whilst on the subject of the bios, is there a way nowdays with this motherboard I have that I can upgrade the bios to the latest version and keep all my own personally set overclocked settings in the bios without having to change them all manually again etc, its not a big deal if I do but it is a little bit of a pain, be handy if it just flashed and kept all the settings as they are just now, know what I mean ?

I am bit more concerned about the actual bios flash working proper to be honest, LOL, never had a fail myself yet, but I have heard a few people get into a heck of a lot of problems in the past.

And another thing whilst on about the bios too, I have a program that says my Graphics bios is over 2 year out of date and could possibly be doing with an update, but to be honest I cant even find anything at all on updating my sapphire amd 6990 bios at all, maybe the program means the onboard graphics (intel) I don't know and it doesn't say, its Aida64 that's saying all this.

Anyways, any opinions appreciated as always :)

p.s
I was looking at the list of all the latest drivers for my motherboard on the asus site and they are all ancient on the site, I don't know if there is something wrong with their site or what, but I would expect at least a few drivers to maybe be 2014 or 2013, know what I mean ? most or all are 2012 etc, seems strange to me.

My Sig with all my stuff is on my post here, cheers :)

All the drivers for your mobo were last updated in 2013, including the bios. You can save your bios settings in a profile and re-nstall them after you have flashed your bios. Check mobo manual for more details.

hi mate and thanks :) , but where are you seeing 2013 drivers ? they are all 2012, the only thing that is new is the bios ?

also, I know about saving the bios to profile but never knew that I could save the settings and reapply them after a bios upgrade, that's new to me, ya learn summit new everyday, lol

If I select windows 7 or 8 64bit, the latest drivers are dated 2013.
But, if I select XP 64bit, they are dated 2012.
So, I'm not sure what OS you have. But I know for a fact from having a Z77 Sabretooth not so long ago, all my bios and chipset drivers were all dated 2013.

And, in regards to AI Suite 3, I would'nt worry about, as it is very unlikely it will be available for Z77 boards.

If I select win 8.1 x64 I see drivers that are dated 2013 yes, but not with windows 7 x64, sorry, I should have made it clearer at the start that I had windows 7 x64 :( wooops, so yea, they are all 2012 and to me that is still ancient as most hardware nowdays still gets updated drivers for windows 7 I would imagine, no ?

probably doesnt help much but AI Suite 3 works fine on my z97.

the one major bug it has though is if you dont have a CPU fan connected. If it cant find a RPM signal it crashes on startup.
