Weird one this, dont know what im doing wrong or if ive missed a setting. If i try to close Aida64 extreme, it will automatically start back up without my input. It will also startup on boot but its not in the startup services or have i clicked the box to start up on windows boot!

Any ideas?

There are loads of hits on Google for that problem - it uses a scheduled task to start on Windows boot - sometimes it can be incorrectly triggered also possible integration with other software you are running (i.e. hardware diagnostic overlays, etc.) is incorrectly restarting it.

I tried googling it but nothing came up, weird. I'll try wording it differently.

Any ideas which might be the cause? Only programs that startup are:

Logitech Ghub
Argus Monitor
MSI Afterburner
Lian Li L-Connect
RTSS

Seems i might have found the culprit, if i close RTSS and then close Aida64 they both start back up together by themselves! RTSS will also start back up by itself if i close it.

Whats the fix?

RTSS restarts if Afterburner is running AFAIK and RTSS/AB can use AIDA64 data as a statistics source - it is a bit of a mess.

I could close them independently before but can’t now.

Tried scouring through task scheduler but cant even find aida64 or rtss in there.
