I'm going to be fitting my AIO cooler today, how do I go about testing it for any leaks? It looks very dry when I took it out of the box, but should I just attach everything and hope for the best?

Don't do what I did once, and forget to connect the power to the pump and wonder why your temps are 60c and climbing in the BIOS!
Always good to "feel" the pipes to make sure they are both warming up. One warm one cold generally means pump failure!

Do not ... buy anything from Fractal. Had an S24 and an S36.. both far far noisier than any other part of my PC!

That aside, test it outside the case for a few hours.

I have 2 AIO coolers on 2 gpus. Gpu 1 is mounted at the back of the pc and the gpu runs at 50 degres after 1 hrs of gaming. Gpu 2 Is mounted at the front of the case and runs at 65-70 degres. The fans in the front of my case are set to pull and the fan on the rad is set to pull also. My case is a https://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/118-phantom-630.html

Is the bottom gpu hitting the temps because the pipes from the AIO are not above the gpu or could it be that the 2 120 mm fans I have in pull at the front of the case are just not upto the job?

All fitted!

Idles at about 30-32C in windows, 83C max in stress testing for 4.7ghz. And that's with room temps at 30C, it's roasting in here :)

Btw, this cooler was a ***** to fit

Still using a 2500k?

Nope i7, going to fix the signature when the cpu is stable at it's clocked speeds

Must be some great cooling for the graphics card there, My 2500k is sitting at 38-41 idle the now for some reason, Must be the heat i'm guessing.. Seems too high though, Using intel burn test I get to 67C max @ 4.4ghz, Had it on 4.6 but got BSOD.

i7 4770 and i7 4790's are very hot chips when stressed, the i5 2500k isn't. As for the GPU mine idles at about 35C, max temp of 65ish at high overclocks. But seriously, this heatwave is doing us no favours :o

Just got mine and currently testing it before fitting (leaks etc)

Argh dont say that! :D

~edit~

Found it fine apart from the final block placement onto the CPU, the second screw took me a few attempts. dropped load temps about 13c with a higher ambient temp than my previous cooler as well!

The right side of my pump kept jumping up when I was trying to screw it in :D

^ This

Easier to do these when cases are lay on there back so you can get above it and you should put enough pressure on say top left bottom right for the screws to meet the thread and screw them in at the same time, this way it wont jump up one one side :)

Ha! I was moving about a fair bit until I saw sense and moved the case onto its side like harry mentioned.

Impressed with it though and my first adventure into watercooling. the pump was very quiet when I was testing it outside of the case

Jumping?

My damn cooler lept off the cpu! Thankfully I'm glad it did as I had left the label on the underside

Working on the comp at 36C was just silly
