Hello,

(this has also been posted under case central, would a mod please delete it from there as thinking about it further it would be better suited in this section, thanks)

I brought this case last week.

YOUR BASKET
1 x NZXT Source 340 Midi-Tower Case - Blue Window £59.99
Total : £69.59 (includes shipping : £8.00 Ex.VAT).

my plan was to get this AIO cooler and install in to the case at the front (not brought yet)

YOUR BASKET
1 x Raijintek Triton Core Edition AIO Water Cooling Solution £59.99
Total : £69.59 (includes shipping : £8.00 Ex.VAT).

I also brought these fans to attach to the rad

YOUR BASKET
1 x Corsair SP120 Performance Series High Pressure - Dual Pack (CO-9050008-WW) £22.00
Total : £22.00 (includes shipping : Ex.VAT).

first thing I noticed when I was moving my PC over was this comment in the manual "the source 340 only allows front mounted rads to be configured to push mode"

first thing I would like to ask is what setup is push mode? I currently have my fans with the blue ring facing towards the front of the PC case (away from the mobo), is this correct?

my theory of thinking was to get the above AIO cooler, attach the SP120 fans to the rad and have the fans between the rad and the case with the blue rings still facing away from the mobo or would I need it with the rad attached to the case and the SP120s attached to the rad with the blue rings facing towards the mobo.

I take it that it doesn't matter which way round the rad is with regards to the cables going to the bottom or the top of the rad?
any help would be appreciated

thanks!

The cables can go any way you want, although I'd advise mounting it with them at the top of the rad if you can - would avoid issues getting it around your GPU if it's a big card.

As for the fans, most come with arrows on but if it doesn't, the side with the sticker / cable / supporting struts for the center motor showing is generally exhaust. For push you'd want to mount the fans on the inside of the case, going Fans > Rad > Case. Just don't try screwing all the way through, you need to mount the fans on one side and the screws supporting the rad to the case on the other.

so for a push setup I would mount the rad to the case by removing the front cover and then mount the fans to the rad from the other side of the rad.

I take it I would then want to be mounting the fans with the blue rings facing the rad or would I be swapping them over so the blue rings would be facing the mobo?

You mount it all on the inside of the case but would need to screw in the rad with the 4 smaller screws you get provided with. You then want to mount the fans on the other side wit the rings facing the rad

thanks for the replies, shouldn't be a issue mounting it all its just a matter of what way things should be facing lol.
