Hi guys.

Which AIO coolers ( 240mm rad ) for the AM4 socket use a backplate to attach the pump to the board as opposed to the black plastic clips supplied with the AMD motherboards for mounting a cpu cooler. This way never felt very secure if im honest from the first time of using it.

Long story short ive managed to damage the black clip and my current aio wont stay attached anymore. My own fault ive obviously overtightened it at some point.

Many thanks for any help

Thanks for that mate.

I ended up getting the Kraken x63. Did exactly what I needed. Both the Corsair units I had both required those pesky clips!
The kraken however used the AMD backplate..happy days.

How do you find the noise and temps? I'm considering an arctic or nxzt

To be honest mate I think the Kraken is a really good piece of kit. The x63 was discounted a bit at OCUK when I bought mine so even better.

The pump is quiet and I have the fans on a custom fan curve as I have them on the back of the rad pulling air as I’ve 2 rgb corsair fans on the front of it so in effect push n pull.

Temps are decent on my 3700x but it’s not clocked insanely high only 4ghz
