Hello,

I'm tempted to purchase the meshify c midi tower case but i'm also looking at the Kraken X52 or M22 as they are in sale atm, 'exclude the x52' now the question is, is the AIO worth the asking price or is it better/cheaper to go with some decent fans \ cooler?

I cant find any benchmarks tthat'll tell me one way or the other?

Have a meshify c myself, and it is a very tight fit for the larger air coolers(Brocken 3 in my case), so keep in mind if you do go down the air route.

I suppose this is a hard question to answer but would my ram get in the way of this cooler or vice versa..

i'm running a stock cooler atm

You can use tall ram with that Alpenfohn cooler :) It will also easily fit into the Meshify should you go with that case.

another silly question, is there any advantage in going for onw with a 140mm fan over a 120mm? my case will take up to 160mm cooler hight?

I wouldn't spend any more than £25 for a cooler on a locked cpu myself. The Alpenfohn is listed as 20.2dBA at full speed so it should be quiet.

generally speaking, as long as you have the room in your case a 140mm cpu fan will outperform a 120mm, either by moving the same amount of air at a lower RPM and less noise, or by moving more air at the same noise level, all else being equal, ie the fans both being manufactured by the same company and both designed for high static pressure for moving air through the heatsink fins efficiently.

If you're going for the Ben Nevis cooler and the Meshify C you will be just fine for clearance with either a 120 or 140mm
