I've got a Corsair H60 installed on my i5 CPU and noticed yesterday when swapping hardware around that the rubber around the piping going in and out of the radiator has started to crack. It's not leaking (yet) but is this common for this to happen? It's 5 years old, but still, I wouldn't of expected this to happen.

Anyone else had any experience of this?

Certainly not something I've come across personally but not something I'd be happy to continue using as depending on how the tubes are designed it's likely only a matter of time till it starts leaking.

I'm guessing it's out of warranty?

wouldn't do any harm to write to Corsair customer support. they're quite a reputable brand. 5 years though, I guess every AIO has a lifespan

Damn. Got one of these on my HTPC, about 4 or 5 years old now.

May as well check it now i have time to kill and replace it with a air cooler if it is showing signs of failing.

usually you can hear them get noisier, rougher sounding, as things start to go wrong with stuff like the pump, seals, coolant. so you get a bit of warning. apparently.

No different to say, car tyres, even if they have tonnes of tread left, rubber perishes over time regardless, so rubber based products need changing after a certain time rather than just a certain amount of use.
