hi im thinking of pre ordering this i like WOW and AOC so im guessing i will like this aswell?
Not sure what the subscrption is each month though?

I agree, check it out in open beta to see if you like it. Do be aware though that levelling is "harder" than in WoW and AoC and also do be aware that you WILL be killed and possibly camped by other players while PvEing.

Keep an open mind, try the beta, see what you think.

there is a monthly fee well its kind of a monthly fee you pay as you play.

300 hours = £20 ( about )

and if you play for 200 hours and you take a break those 100 hours will still be there when you come back.

Thats only for the asian market, the western market will have a straight flat monthly fee like other MMOs. £9 a month if I recall correctly.

It is if you expect people to drop WoW for Aion. At that price point all you'll get is the very jaded WoW players who would switch regardless.
If the price point was lower than WoW you'd get more people to try it out.

That said I don't know what their initial offering is. If you get a good few months free when you buy the game then it won't be much of an issue.

One month free, same as most other MMOs.

I'm not really expecting people to drop WoW for Aion though, to be honest I dont think many WoW players would actually like Aion anyway. Just as most WoW players dont/wouldnt like Daoc or UO either. Some of the older players (particularly those who remember Daoc) may well consider swapping from WoW (if they play it) to Aion though.

£9 a month is fair enough, its pretty much on a par with most other western MMOs.

see that's the trouble there are many like me who probably would like to play 5-8 hours per month and would pay by the hour but don't want to play every month some months I could play 10-20 hours then other months it would be as few as 8 hours.

Paying 10 quid for say 100-150 hours would be great.

Certainly I could see the logic of it in your case. I guess though for them its simply easier to just use the same western "model" of the flat £9 a month. Probably works out better financially too for them.

the whole 'levelling' theme just puts me off newer mmorpgs :(

Even though the PvP in this is supposed to be a lot better it just doesn't appeal because it will just be a race to the top

I agree its a shame about the levelling aspect..but its something I am willing to tolerate if the PvP ends up being good. I'm afraid that "levelling" is so utterly ingrained into the MMO masses now that its something which is going to be with us for a long time to come.

Well i'm gonna give aion a go bord of WoW now after getting 6 characters to 80 I said ok I can play this in my sleep need something new any ways looks a lot better then WoW and might even make my pc heat up a little
