Hey All,

I have had my custom loop fitted for some time now and for the last 2-3 months it has been fine no problems at all, but lately I have noticed any time I use the PC my room itself is really starting to get very warm/hot not to mention the heat coming from my tower and after having a close look I seem to have this issue:

the front dual bay resoviour is completely full to the brim so it's not like I can add any more fluid, yet I have this amount of air in the system and it was never there before, any ideas what I can do or is it a case of just put more fluid in and it will fit lol.

Thanks in advance.

Is there any give in the tube? Can you lift it which will cause the air pocket to move towards the res?
I run a CPU intensive program like Realbench which should make the pump force everything around a bit quicker.
Try tilting your case too in order to dislodge the air pockets.

Hey, there is not really any give in the tubing I mean I can move it abit but not that much, the pump is constantly on setting 5 (Max) and the pump/res is an XSPC D5 Dual Bay Pump/Res

XSPC D5 Dual Bay Pump/Res

It is I would say 2-3 years old now but has always worked, I mean it gets warm but a lot of the heat is from the new 980ti, before it was a watercooled graphics card do never really noticed the heat to much. Just more concerned with the air bubbles at the moment.

I will try run something intensive as mentioned above see if it does anything.

Well it seems giving the case abit of a violent shake has got rid of the large airbubble, but upon doing that I now have loads of really small bubbles going around, and the pump/res is making a king of swishing sound quite often almost like its frothing around bit I can't see any movement.

Don't really know what to do, I assume I shouldn't have any airbubbles in it at all, not even the tiny tiny ones?

Edit: Well it didn't last long and the big air bubble has come back in exactly the same spot, also done a realbench test from start to finish and nothing chance bubble still there, max temp reached was 64c.

You just need to bleed the air out m8, its summat ya have to do every times you fill a loop.

You just need to unplug all the cables from your PSU except the mobo cable and a molex connector. Then do the paperclip trick on the mobo cable and plug a molex fan into the PSU if you have one, this helps the PSU startup as they have a minimum load setting.

Then just lay your case on its back so your bay res is pointing up and plug the pump into your PSU and turn on the PSU for a few seconds and watch the air bubble. Then just just keep flicking the PSU on for a few seconds and work the air bubbles into the bay res, if air gets stuck at a point in your loop, tilt the case accordingly to help the air get past it and up to your res.

If you have already bled your system before just ignore all that, im just asuming you didnt know you had to bleed the air out. If ya dont know what the paperclip trick is just google PSU paperclip trick, also your PSU might have been supplied with a connector to plug onto the end of the mobo cable which does the same thing, my EVGA one did.
