Hi there - I'm wanting to connect an airbrush I've been donated to my compressor. I'm not sure of the names of the parts, but there's a picture below showing the bits. I assume that an in-line moisture trap would be useful. I have a pressure reg on the compressor already, I just need some fittings to allow the small connector on the airbrush line to fit into the quick release socket I already have on my existing airline (and on the compressor outlet for that matter). The top two connectors are the quick release ones and the smaller one on the red tube is the airbrush connector, which has a rubber seal inside too.

Even if you don't know what bits I need, if you could name the connectors/sizes so I could have a look to see if I can find what I want! Cheers :)

It looks like the compressor is using a 1/4" quick fitting (PCL?), whilst the airbrush is using one of the many mini screw fittings (IIRC there are about 3 or 4 at least dependent on the manufacturer of the airbrush).

You need to get a PCL bayonet and a suitable screw fitting to make an adaptor for the airbrush hose (if it's a cheap airbrush the chances are it'll be a badger so from memory it'll be a 1/4" to 1/8th BSP adaptor (which should screw directly onto the PCL bayonet).

[edit]
Looking at the picture again you may get away with just the PCL bayonet, as that airbrush airline looks like it's already 1/4", in which case pop into your local screwfix and pick up one of these or toolstation also do them if they're nearer, and possibly some PTFE tape (if you've not got some handy) and it should do the job.
Watch the output pressure on the compressor though as most small airbrushes tend to want 10-25psi depending on application.

Thanks for the replies. I headed to a couple of places in Norwich today, including a model shop and a pneumatic/airline place, but no joy. The airbrush fitting isn't a standard one - just my luck lol.

I've found the company that originally made the airbrush (it's a Conopois model F) and gave them a bell, and they are hopefully sending me the correct adaptor to join up to a standard 1/4" bsp thread. The compressor already has an in-line reg, but cheers for the heads up. I've also bought an in-line moisture trap today as well. :)

Hi sorry I hope this is alright even the post is not new. My two best airbrushes are Conopois, even has the pointed nozzle as extra. But my problem also are the treads for the hose. I would like two hoses as I have two Conopois, but only have one hose. --also I like to ask you if you ever have had problems with the trigger valve.
Thank's for your time.

Good first post to air your views and not attempt to brush over your problems by not asking for help. But tread carefully here, and don't let the pressure get to you or trigger a reaction.
