I'm in the market for an air compressor, Don't need it to be able to blast chunks of concrete off the floor just to clean my rig nicely, Not too keen on the cans you can buy as liquid can come out if not careful plus I do a major clean once a month of everything in my house so I don't want to be rebuying cans of air all the time :p

So, Any good air compressors out there that don't cost the earth ?

Any info is appreciated :)

I use one designed for blowing up air beds and paddling pools.

It's got 4 or 5 adapters for the nozzle, the narrowest of which provides insane amounts of dust removing POWAH.

If you don't want one right this minute then keep an eye out at Aldi. They have them in the special buys now and again. I bought my compressor from them quite a few years ago now and it's had quite a lot of use. They usually have a 3 year warranty as well. I paid under £100 probably closer to the £80 mark actually. It came with the hose, tyre inflator, paint spray gun, wash gun and a blow gun.

I've got more and more air tools over the years as I use it for doing stuff on the car but we've even used it to make a hole in a brick wall for a waste pipe so they are handy things. That was with a cheap air chisel also from aldi :)

I always use mine to clean out the pc. You can't beat it, way more powerful than those cans and cost effective in the long run if you use it for more stuff :)

They just had them in 2 weeks ago, but be aware. They are LOUD. VERY VERY LOUD. I have one, but intend to upgrade it to a clarke Shhhh! at some point (one I save up enough cash)

I agree they aren't quiet but they are no louder than any other oil less compressor. I looked at the clarke shhh in machinemart ages ago. It's specifically made to be quiet for use in offices and stuff. Probably for airbrushing and the like. It's also fairly pricey. But if you've got a shed or garage or somewhere to use it outside a basic compressor will be fine :)

O2 Hurricane Canless Air ESD Safe

I found these when I was looking for an alternative to canned air.

Here's the homepage with videos of the normal one in action http://www.canlessair.com/

I think I would buy one of these if I had enough spare cash. Wonder what you guys think? You can get the normal and industrial ones cheaper on ebay but none of the ESD safe ones are listed yet. Would be great if OcUK could stock these and of course getting a great deal and passing the savings on to us.

Edit* majnu posted the amazon link to the industrial one up there before me, oh well.
