Air Cooler

Im kind of new to this section, as i have never really used cooling beyond stock coolers... Can anyone recommend me the best Air Cooler to use for my Phenom II 955?

I've heard the Noctua coolers are good.

So AM2/AM2+ Coolers Would Be Compatable With AM3 Motherboards/Processors?

Maximum cooling (Cheapest = 1, Most expensive = 4)

Titan Fenrir (2)
TRUE 120 with a decent fan (4)
Scythe Mugen II (1)
Noctua NH-12p (3)

Quietest

All AM2/2+/3 coolers are compatible with each other - the socket is virtually identical.

If you want great cooling cheap, get the titan, if you want cheap and quiet, get the Scythe.

If you want the best cooling for the volume level, get the Noctua. If you want the best cooling you can get without the racket the Titan makes, get the TRUE (the titan is loud)

+1 Noctua for good balance of cooling and silence, or the TRUE with Noctua fans!

Considering how cheap the Fenrir is it's not quite that clear cut...

It's 1-2c worse but half the price once you include a fan with the TRUE.

It's a shame the Fenrir can only take one fan (unless you start cable tieing then on that is) - I'd like to see some testing done with a Fenrir and Noctua fans...
