Air dusting, am I doing it wrong?

I thought my rigs and equipment could do with a clean so I thought I would stop being a dirty git and got an electric dust blower.

It clears any loose surface dust without problem but sometimes leaves a fine "surface dust" which needs brushing to loosen it. You can wipe it off with your finger, it is not caked on or anything.

The blower can blow my nuts off from 10 feet so why can it not remove this "super dust"?

I use a vacuum and an anti static brush for this very reason. I put an anti-static band round the nozzle of the hoover, brush everything and vacuum it out of the air.

My current filters do such a good job that normally I only need to do the filter and radiator, then I just use an electronics wipe on the fan blades, or IPA on a microfiber cloth.

What you're describing had always been the case with my builds.

I use a 140 litre compressor when I dust my PC. It still leaves the tiny particles, which you then brush off.
Repeat 2-3 times and you should be absolutely good to go.

My dads got a big 500 litre compressor in his garage so I take my PC over once a year for a good blow out to remove some of the stubborn dust that the air duster can doesn't get.
