I want to take my car to an unused air field so I can try out a few things that are too dangerous and probably illegal.

Any ideas on how I can find one?

Cheers,

Chris

I think you missed out the word unused, because one would assume that planes do not use the said airfield anymore. ;)

I'm not aware of any that are open to the public for no charge.

there's a difference between "open to the public" and "accessible" :) (not that i'm advocating the breaking of any trespassing laws, but if it's an unused airfield what harm is it goin to bring :))

Tom.

It's airfield central in this part of the world but most of them have either been turned into industrial estates or taken over by farmers.

In fact I even work at old airfield :p

I would also be intrested. Apparently there are a few around the new forest area but I have never actually found any, probably because as kaiowas says, they have been turned into industrial estates and I read somewhere some have been changed into roads!

There is one at Homesly in the New Forest. Head for Christchurch, then move along through Burton, WInkton and out towards Bransgore, carry on up a long long road towards a place called Thorney Hill, when you reach the top of this long hill (you go over a cattle grid), turn right at the cross roads, travel down the hill and there is a huge one on your right hand side! You can access it via the A35 IIRC.
