Wondering which to buy and if the 2 water coolers have much difference to temperatures, I would add an extra fan to both

Processor is Intel Core i7-2600K @4.40GHz, mainly used for video encoding to MKV and rendering artwork in Vue and poser

Noctua NH-D14

Phanteks PH-TC14PE

The two ALC units are not even close to matching the performance of the two air coolers and they tend to be much louder. Between the Phanteks and Noctua, the Phanteks is slightly better but the cost reflects that also.

You can't really go wrong with the two air coolers you suggested. See sig for performance.

i would always say custom water as i have had both.but out of those chopices in the op's post i would deffo go for the NH-D14 every time.i don't think those ready made water coolers are that good

I'd go for either of the air coolers if your not interested in a custom loop. I have the Antec Kuhler 620, just fancied a change from my Titan Fenrir and for the money it is a very good cooler. Happily runs my i7 [email protected] with HT enabled. Replaced the stock fan with a pair of Akasa Apaches and it runs virtually silent at full load apart from a very slight pump buzz.

620, don't really need anything more than that for 4.4ghz. Half the price of the noctua and phanteks too.

If you intend to take it higher (4.7+) in the future then the noctua or phanteks would be a solid investment.
