I am currently waiting for a couple of company to get back to me with quotes, I got them via check trade. I am in South East London and I live in a 1930 semi detached house, we have the loft extension and kitchen extension done over the years and currently heating it via gas boiler. Octopus came and did a heat pump survey and deemed not suitable for their install as my heat loss is around 12kw and very heavy hot water usage with 5 people living in the house etc.

Now I am looking at air to air heat pump or air conditioning, no grant from gov but it will be a good addition to hot summer for cooling. Any idea of what would be a acceptable installation cost for budgeting? I understand it would be different case by case so a rough ball park fig would be great with the following info.

Semi detached
2 outdoor units, one at side of house and another at rear of the house

Unit 1
Ground floor kitchen and living room with indoor unit on external walls
First floor Bedroom

Unit 2 Indoor unit in loft with ducted air for
Second floor Loft bedroom
First floor Bedroom 2

All rooms are approx 5mx5m

I don't think we will go without gas heating ever, above would be supplement to gas heating and also bonus cooling for summer. We have solar and battery with cheap rates 23:30 till 05:30 plus co-op wind farm and co-op solar later this year.
