airbag light comes on if car is left in the sun

Hi all.

The airbag light in my Xsara VTS comes on if the car has been left parked in the sun. It was fine till recently, but now (since it's got a bit warmer really) everytime I get in the car after work it lights up.

Leaving the car parked up at home overnight, the light is off again by morning. Doesn't come back on whilst driving to work. Is off when I park up. But at the end of the day, it's back on again.

Any ideas which bits are sensitive to heat?

One of my Saxo VTS's airbag light used to come on due to the connector under the seat coming loose, due to seat movement/adjustment.

I don't know if it's the same setup on your vehicle but if it is, I'd have that checked first. It usually only needs re-soldering to get it working again properly.

I've done that already, it's not seat movement that is causing it. It's cabin temperature related it seems. I was wonder if anyone knew what to suspect with these symptons!
