Airbag warning light

Quick question, will having the airbag warning light on mean an MOT fail?

Secondary restraint systems such as airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioners are not part of the current MOT test.

If it bugs you, do what I did on my old Daewoo, remove the bulb

Does it mean could go off for no reason, or in a crash it won't deploy? (perhaps pressure tube has lost pressure)

It means it won't deploy. Airbags going off randomly is very uncommon (as you'd hope).

Depends what car it is. On my Clio for example, it's on simply because some wiring has come lose under the passenger seat. It should still go off in the event of a crash though (I think!).
