Airbus 380 Cockpit view!

Don't think much of the Entertainment system. There's just an on/off button by the looks of it.

Cool, thought there was a lot of buttons...then I looked on the ceiling and there's loads more!

No matter what anyones says about functionality etc, those seats do look just a tad pants!

I am booked to fly the A380 in September with Singapore Airlines, bringing me home from the Singapore GP....can't wait :)

Very impressive! I'd like to know how many of the buttons are likely to be used as I'm sure most of the time it'll spend it's life on autopilot...?

Actually most of the buttons are used. The overhead panel is used to setup the different systems on the aircraft and as such are used a lot at the beginning and end of the flight. The buttons on the FMC (the keyboard like thing on the centre pedestal) are used all the time for inputting the route as well modifying it during flight. The buttons on the glareshield are the autopilot controls.

wow, them pilots are pretty amazing to fly something something like that, all them buttons :( easily 500+ buttons/levers ect ? and they have to know every single one.

very cool

I have to agree with him. Being a pilot must be hugely demanding. Requiring great intelligence, levelheadedness and nuts of steel when dealing with so many lives.

How did you get into it? I take it you studied Maths or similar at Uni, then onto the £60K training?
